Stay at the Historic W.H. Reid Summer House in Eureka Springs
Built in 1899 as the summer home of Chicago banker W. H. Reid, this Colonial Revival landmark was designed by noted architect Theodore C. Link (St. Louis Union Station, LSU campus). With the hotel came the rich, famous and influential. One such summer resident was the esteemed Mr. W.H. Reid, who built his summer house near the hotel in 1899. The summer house continues to idolize Eureka Springs’ Golden Age as a resort town. Reid would provide funding for Eureka Springs’ Red Brick Schoolhouse to be known as the W. H. Reid School, its first public school.
Today, wedding parties and groups of friends can stay at the Reid Summer Home and be steps from the Crescent Hotel & Spa. The exclusive rental allows access to two full floors, accommodations in 4 bedrooms with private baths, a full kitchen, 4 parking spaces plus dining and living rooms.
